How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness, like the relaxed concentration you might feel while driving, reading, meditating, or getting lost in thought. Contrary to common myths, you’re not unconscious or under anyone’s control.

Hypnotherapy bypasses the critical mind, working directly with the subconscious mind where memories, beliefs, thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses are stored. That's why lasting change happens more quickly and with greater ease.

In this relaxed state, your subconscious mind is receptive to releasing and reframing old mental clutter, outdated beliefs, and emotional blocks that may be keeping you stuck. This creates space for new beginnings to naturally unfold.

Through visualization, positive suggestions, and a safe, supportive space, hypnotherapy helps you reconnect with your inner wisdom and uncover the solutions that already exist within you.

Your mind operates in two main modes: your logical, analytical mind (the conscious mind) and your emotional, imaginative mind (the subconscious). Hypnosis allows us to bypass the critical filter of the conscious and speak directly to the subconscious, the part of you that stores beliefs, habits, and emotional patterns.

During transitions, we tend to get caught between these two parts of the mind.

One part tries to "figure it all out" with pro and con lists or asking friends for advice, while the other part just feels lost, uncertain, and overwhelmed. This can easily cause you to feel paralyzed by a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged.

Hypnosis creates a focused state where lasting positive changes take place. Where your subconscious can release old fears, strengthen new beliefs, and build new patterns that reflect your inner strength, your wisdom, and your ability to evolve.

The subconscious mind holds the key to lasting change, making hypnotherapy a powerful tool for releasing old patterns to make room for new possibilities.

Your subconscious mind is always protecting you. It relies on established patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior, often based on past experiences, to guide your actions. It also creates negative patterns and limiting beliefs that hold you back, impacting your ability to achieve goals and take risks.

In hypnosis, your subconscious mind is receptive to positive suggestions, allowing you to gently rewrite outdated beliefs, release emotional blocks, and create lasting changes. It’s like updating old programming on a computer, but we’re shifting thought patterns and responses that no longer serve you.

Most people describe hypnosis as a state of deep relaxation, like a guided meditation. You may feel lighter, more at ease, or peaceful. Some people notice vivid imagery or a sense of clarity, while others feel as though they’ve taken a mental rest. However it unfolds for you, the experience is always gentle and safe.

Did you know your subconscious mind controls 95% of your thoughts, habits, and behaviors? That means most of what you think and do is an automatic response based on ingrained memories accumulated through the years. Studies show that of the up to 60,000 thoughts we have daily, 95% are repetitive, and 80% are negative.

Your subconscious mind is like a vast storage system for your memories, thoughts and beliefs. It influences your thoughts, habits, emotional reactions, and behaviors, often without you realizing it. Some stored memories and beliefs might serve you well, while others may keep you stuck in old patterns that hold you back.

Patterns of thinking shape our lives and how we respond to everyday events.

Reframing limiting beliefs and negative thoughts rooted in your subconscious memories can be deeply transformative, enabling you to live with more confidence, authenticity, and fulfillment.

Hypnosis is a powerful therapeutic tool, but it is often misunderstood due to misconceptions rooted in its history, media portrayals, and general skepticism.
