Hypnotherapy is recognized as an effective therapeutic modality by the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association.
Skepticism is a healthy sign that your mind is thoughtful and discerning. You don’t have to override that. Many of my clients are initially skeptical and are often surprised by how natural and practical the process feels.
Most of us have only seen hypnosis portrayed in movies or stage shows, where it’s exaggerated for entertainment. Those portrayals can leave people wondering if they'll lose control or cluck like a chicken. The answer is no!
Hypnotherapy is far from dramatic or mysterious. It’s a gentle, focused process that allows your mind to relax and your deeper thoughts and patterns to come into view. You’re fully aware, in control, and simply in a more open state of awareness similar to daydreaming or being deeply absorbed in a good book.
Many who are initially skeptical and doubtful experience a sense of clarity, peace, and empowerment they didn’t know was possible.
You remain fully in control and aware of what you say and do. Hypnosis is a state of heightened focus and relaxation where you remain fully aware of what’s happening. You cannot be made to do anything against your will or values.
It’s impossible to get stuck in hypnosis! If a hypnotherapist stops speaking
or you’re left alone, you’ll either return to a normal waking state or drift into natural sleep and wake up refreshed.
Although hypnosis involves deep relaxation, your mind is highly alert and focused during the process. It’s more like a meditative state than actual sleep.
You retain full control over what you say during hypnosis. You cannot be made to reveal information or share anything you don’t want to.
Hypnosis is a safe and natural process and is widely recognized as effective in a wide range of therapeutic applications.
Hypnosis cannot make you think or act against your morals, ethics, or beliefs. It’s a collaborative process where the hypnotherapist guides you, but you remain fully in control.

Yes! Hypnosis was approved both by Medical and Psychological Associations in the 1950s and has been used by medical and mental health practitioners for more than 150 years. The effectiveness of hypnotherapy depends on the client’s openness and willingness to engage with the process.
The vast majority of people experience the relaxation effects of hypnosis and can realize its benefits. It is estimated that less than 10% of people have a high resistance or unwillingness and don’t report good results. Clients usually find that they will go deeper with each session as they become more comfortable.
We'll meet virtually on Zoom. I'll send you all of the details before we meet for your free consultation but you can visit this page for more information.
Certain cases are discouraged from pursuing hypnosis, including anyone with severe psychological disorders that have gone untreated, persons under the influence of recreational drugs or alcohol, and anyone who is having delusions or hallucinations at the time of treatment.
I guarantee that if you don’t experience noticeable results within three days after your session, and you’ve actively followed the self-care practices you were given, your next session is free. I'm committed to your results.
Traces of hypnotic practices date back thousands of years. Yet, despite its long and respected history, hypnosis remains clouded in mystery, often misunderstood or misrepresented. Download "The Timeless Art of Hypnosis" for fun facts!
